The sun, constantly burdened to shine, falters under the pressure and fatigue that come with it. Despite being a beacon of strength and warmth, she finds herself overwhelmed by the duties placed upon her. She confides in the moon, who, with her comforting gaze, reassures the sun that it's okay to feel these things and acknowledge them. As the two converge, their energies connect in mutual understanding, creating a rare safe space for the sun to finally ease her light. Rather than judgment, the moon offers solace and reflection, balancing the intensity of always having to shine, never falter, and strive to be perfect.

Things have gotten so busy as of recent and this may have taken longer than it should have, but nonetheless, I'm glad I spent the few large chunks of uninterrupted time towards my personal work. This project honestly shouldn't have taken as long as it should have, but I found the process to be therapeutic at times where I was mindful of what I wanted to achieve with my artstyle and composition. I also found a cool way to streamline hair rendering with the fill brush after establishing the hair gradient/basic shading, which really helped me push through the strain of painting hair. Using tone curve to turn smoothly rendered surfaces into a shinier metal texture was also extremely helpful. This definitely wasn't a weekly prompt that ended up being two weeks late or anything due to an overly ambitious idea lol
