"Departure from Dreamland" is a short animatic that psychologically explores the consequences
of childhood escapism through the perspective of a young girl and her deep attachment to a
symbol of her innocence: Kirby. Trigger warnings include implied child/domestic abuse, mild
gore, themes of escapism, and psychological horror.
